Coastlands Ministry News

11th July 2001

Directors Cut

Welcome to our new look newsletter.  I trust you enjoy it.  There are many wonderful developments happening.  One that excites me is the building of a 63ft Catamaran for use in Youth Training. For further information Click Here
In the midst of all the activity I have learned that we can not survive under pressure without the Presence of God.  It seems that all my years in ministry pressure has always been close by.  Well here's a helpful fact. Gods Presence is even closer.

From The Radio Base

SV Liberty

Dave and Tana Black are on there way to Fiji.  They currently are  experiencing some difficulty.  They have problems with a seal on a water pump and also the alternator is not working properly.  They also are becalmed and need wind as it is not possible for them to motor at this stage.  They are in good spirits and are not overly concerned.  They have asked for prayer for wind.

SV Grace 11

Des & Merlene are continuing there outreach in the Santo region with the distribution of clothes to those in need in isolated places.  They are well with Des having just recovered from the flue.

SV Shekinah

Tom Heather are up in the far north of Vanuatu in The Banks region.  This is an area of great need that does not receive much ministry.  They continue to see many good results with great response to there "Cinema on the Sea" ministry.

SV Special Effects

Having arrived safely in Thursday Island they caught up with the crew of MV Christian. They are now in transit to Papua New Guinea.

Around the Traps

The remaining vessels are in harbor carrying our maintenance, applying for visas and doing all those tasks that are so necessary to keep afloat in a ministry like this.
