John & Colleen Robertshaw moved to Australia from New Zealand in 1976 after
their graduation from Christian Life Bible College. They moved to Newcastle
for eight years and then to Taree for five years in New South Wales. There
they both were involved in ministry.
Following this, in 1989 they took up the call to warmer weather in the
sunny tropics of North Queensland.
Shortly after arriving in Bowen they met Rod & Annette Olsen who
were involved with Christian Missions with the use of their yacht, Renee.
An immediate relationship was formed. From this it seemed apparent that
there was a need for an organization that was able to network and support
maritime ministry. Over the years to follow God continued to raise up many
people in the vision of "Reaching the Remote."
John went Home in November, 2001, after a short fight
with cancer.
Colleen, and her adult children, Krystal and David
live in Emerald, Queensland.
