Our Mandate

Coastlands Ministry is part of the Body of Christ and is built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets with Christ Jesus Himself being the Chief Cornerstone.

We are a community of Christ's servants dedicated to building His Church in the remote and isolated places of the world.  We go per the "Great Commission," to build and serve the local church.  

Our inspiration must come from God and not from our own hearts.  We seek not to be self-serving but servants of the Master, doing His work as He directs.

Our attitude is one of obedience to God's Word and to His Holy Spirit.  
 

We are multi-faceted in ministry serving in the 5-fold gifts of Ephesians 4:11, and in the gifts listed in

Romans 12:3-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:27-28.  

Listen to this message from the Lord, you nations of the world; proclaim it in distant coastlands: 

The Lord, who scattered his people, will gather them and watch over them as a shepherd does his flock.

"Reaching the Remote"

There are many isolated communities in the nations of the world that can only be reached with great difficulty.  The local churches in these areas are rarely visited or encouraged.  They also lack the assistance available to the church in more developed countries.  Most church leaders in western nations regularly receive visiting ministry and are able to pick up a telephone and speak with their oversight or peers  whenever they need help or encouragement.  This is not the case for our brethren in the remote and isolated parts of the world.

The Lord is raising up within His church a people called to serve Him in these remote and isolated areas.  We go by land, in 4WD vehicles and by foot; by sea in small yachts and boats; and by air.  We preach, teach, and serve in many other areas of ministry.
