Coastlands Ministry Summit - 13-17 November 2001
Expansion and strengthening our stand are two
important elements in mission and ministry.
More and more people are responding to the
call to Ministry and Missions. By sea and by land, going to places hard to
reach. Things are expanding.
With expansion comes added burden and attack.
“When we move to another level of faith or
devotion we are contended in many different ways. These attacks never look like
the enemy is behind it. Someone once said, a mouse trap never looks like a trap
to the mouse; it looks like a restaurant.” B Silverback
Our ability to stand, and not ourselves
become a castaway, is also important.
Thus our focus, “Expand & Stand”.
This year we bring together speakers who are
visionaries with a father’s heart. Ministries who are not only able to help
expand you, but put within your heart principles that will enable you to stand.
A Summit with a difference and you are
invited to it.
This annual event is being held at the Bowen
Christian Family Centre in tropical Bowen, North Queensland Australia from
13 to 17 November 2001.
Speakers
Barry Silverback
Ralph Mahoney, Director of World MAP, wrote this recommendation
for Barry Silverback.
Of the hundreds of missionaries I have met, and the thousands I
have serviced I can affirm to you that Barry Silverback is an unusual
missionary. Most denominations and organizations would not have a single
missionary who would have accomplished a work comparable to that which Barry
Silverback has in Papua New Guinea. I would guess that Barry is a ‘one in a
thousand’ missionary. Protestant Mission agencies and denominations
(approximately 120 of them) associated with the Evangelical Foreign Missions
Association have deployed from the United States and Canada about 16,500
missionaries around the world. When you place Barry Silverback up against that
number you would probably not find over 15 or 20 that were anywhere comparable
in his stature in fruitfulness and productivity.
